“Tillie” is a fun-faced clown originally painted on the boardwalk of Asbury Park in the mid 1950s outside of the beach city’s former amusement park. The now defunct park sits next to history Asbury Convention Hall, where Cyndrom held its first pop-up shops and started our brand.
Throughout Asbury’s turbulent history, and recent rebirth, Tillie has remained as town’s symbol of fun by the beach. Many have tried to claim ownership over the famous face, but to this day its actual copyright ownership has yet to be proven.
